Is it over already? Three weeks of Tadej Pogačar domination at the Giro d’Italia done and dusted, step one of the double – or maybe triple – ticked off, and in some style. Was it his best Grand Tour performance yet? It might just be.

But beyond the GOAT, the Giro is always the best looking of the three week races and there was plenty to be excited about. Thankfully we’ve once again enlisted the talents of photographer Chris Auld to give us his picture highlights of the race. 21 stages, 21 pictures, all killer, no filler.

Several noteworthy aspects of this picture: a big Geraint Thomas podium at 38, a breakout from Valentin Paret-Peintre, a bigger breakout from his Decathlon-AG2R team, and the goat costume on the right. This is what the kids call ciclismo.
